Green Banks: Mobilizing Finance for Green Capital (15th September/16th in APAC)

Communities, policy analysts and investors are looking for alternative approaches to halt climate change by accelerating investment in clean energy technologies. Green Banks are a proven finance model that uses public and philanthropic funds to mobilize private investment in renewable energy, energy efficiency and other decarbonization technologies.
We will discuss the following questions:
  • What is a green bank and how is it unique in financing green energy projects?
  • What risks are reduced or enhanced by utilizing this blended capital model?
  • What type of projects would be a fit for green bank financing?
  • What is needed to create regional, state, federal, and international Green Banks?
We're delighted to welcome Reed Hundt, CEO of the Coalition For Green Capital, and former chair of the United States Federal Communications Commission, and the show will also include a panel discussion moderated by Kerry O'Neill, CEO of Inclusive Prosperity Capital, with various members of the team at the Coalition For Green Capital:
  • Jahi Wise, Policy Director
  • Jeff Schub, Executive Director
  • Andi Colnes, Director of Global Green Bank Development
  • Alex Kragie, Director of the American Green Bank Consortium
